European Venture Capital Fund (EuVECA)
The Financial Market Authority is the competent authority for the registration of Managers of European Venture Capital Funds (EuVECA). The European Venture Capital Fund Regulation (Regulation (EU) No 345/2013 – EuVECA-Regulation) forms the legal basis. This regulation is intended to strengthen growth and innovations among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) (known as qualified portfolio companies). EuVECA managers must be authorised as alternative investment funds managers (AIFMs), with the EuVECAs themselves being authorised as alternative investment funds (AIFs).
