Damage

The damage is an involuntary reduction of assets. It consists of the difference between the value of the assets after the damaging event (breach of contract or non-contractual damage) and the value that the assets would have had if the damaging event had not occurred (so-called difference theory). The concept of damage is now supplemented by the normative concept of damage, which also seeks to replace disadvantages that do not manifest themselves in a difference in assets.
